Biography: 

Berenice Zuniga joined the UNT Dallas Student Affairs team officially in November 2018. She was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and grew up in Dallas, TX from a young age. Berenice attended the University of North Texas at Dallas where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and General Business. While attending UNT Dallas, Berenice worked in the Student Affairs department as the Team Lead Student Assistant for many years, worked as an orientation counselor for the Admissions Department, and served in multiple University Committees. 

During her undergraduate career, Berenice had the opportunity to be the founding president for Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc., served as Vice President for the Student Government Association, and had the opportunity to help start and help lead multiple organizations. She was also the recipient of the Student Worker of the Year in 2016 and the Jaguar Legacy Award in 2018. Her passion and dedication to help others has led her to her current position as Coordinator of Student Organizations, where she has the opportunity to impact students and help them with their growth and development.
