Biography: 

Dr. Noureen Khan is a Fulbright Scholar and Fulbright Specialist. She holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research interests include Biomathematics,  low dimensional topology and Knot Theory. Her current research is on topological probing of DNA and application to Genetics. Dr. Khan has served on the external board of directors for Georgia Women’s Research Fellowship Program and the MAA Early Career Mentoring Network along with serving. She has also served as an Editorial Committee Member and Reviewer for the External Advisory Council UT Dallas, MathematicalReviews, MathSciNet, and Zentralblatt MATH. Dr. Khan has been the recipient of several NSF/ NSA/ MAA grants for her work.
